Job Description:

This is an entry-to-mid-level position.  The ideal candidate will have background knowledge in the fields of construction, engineering, or mathematics.  The position will require excellent written and oral communication, critical thinking skills, a professional appearance, and self-motivation.  A four-year college degree and two years of experience in the commercial contracting industry are required for this position.

 

General responsibilities include:

  • Integrity is a strong compulsion to make the morally and ethically correct decision
  • Strong work ethic and self-starter
  • Assisted the Project Manager with day-to-day operational tasks.
  • Owner/Architect communication and construction progress report preparation.
  • Creation of construction schedule using MS Project.
  • Manage and track daily work progress in conjunction with the project superintendent.
  • Cost study preparation and cost tracking.
  • Resolution of design and cost discrepancies.
  • Subcontractor submittal review and approvals.
  • Estimating and detailed material take-offs using an Excel-based estimating program.
  • Subcontractor pricing and contract preparation.
  • Marketing, sales, and corporate promotions.
